Design and Prepress will assist you to produce a printed product that communicates information effectively, looks as good printed as it does on the computer screen, achieves your expected outcome and complies with U.S. Postal regulations.
Our experts in computer design and layout programs provide aesthetically pleasing designs in quick turn-around times. Bonnie Michael earned a BFA from URI and an MFA from UofA and has worked more than 30 years in the graphic arts industry. Many of our customers return again and again for original in-house design work from Bonnie.
Our in-house package designer uses your product(s) to create custom dies and working samples on our Computer Aided Design (CAD) system and large format plotter/cutter. Once the fit is perfect, we can supply a digital dieline which you can open in Adobe Illustrator or InDesign. This allows you to design your package graphics to fit the die precisely.
Primarily, we use Apple Macintosh and Kodak Prinergy equipment. Macintosh files are the most common and reliable file format for desktop prepress work, using the most recent versions of Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office software. Kodak Prinergy is a proprietary hardware and software system that is solely designed for high-end Raster Image Processing (RIP).
ProGraphic's proofing and approval procedures ensure that the final printed product is what you want and expect. We have a "RIP Once/Print Many" work flow that is color managed to G7 standards via International Color Consortium (ICC) profiles. This allows us to produce accurate, color-correct proofs. We also make large format paper proofs to show folding, trimming and any other finishing processes.
